The sequel to Scythe sends players on a new adventure into Siberia, where a massive meteorite crashed near the Tunguska River, awakening ancient corruption. An expedition led by Dr. Tarkovsky ventures into the taiga to learn about the meteorite and its impact on the land. Itching for adventure, heroes from the war privately fund their own expeditions to Siberia, hoping to find artifacts, overcome challenges, and ultimately achieve glory.Expeditions is a competitive, card-driven, engine-building game of exploration. It is designed to evoke similar feelings to Scythe even though the mechanisms are different: Play cards to gain power, guile, and unique worker abilities; move your mech to mysterious locations and gain cards found among the tiles; use workers, items, meteorites, and quests to enhance your mech; and use power and guile to vanquish corruption.ComponentsExpeditions includes 5 large mech miniatures (>50mm) and mech mats, 20 location tiles, over 100 uniquely illustrated cards (63x88mm), 50 worker meeples, a bag filled with 36 silkscreen printed corruption tiles, a robust Automa solo mode, and much more. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The rules act as a lid on top of the trays. There are seven player trays, with separate slots for the miniatures and the player tokens. The eighth tray is for the combat cards and bonus tiles in one slot and the other tokens in the other slot. The combat cards can all be sleeved. The coin slots are split to have separate slots for each size of coin. The two resource trays separate each of the four resource types. The remaining top layer trays are for the medium sized cards, the encounter and multiplier tokens. There is space for all cards to be sleeved. The two tarot sized card trays have space to separate the encounter and factory cards. Again there is room for all the cards to be sleeved with quality sleeves. The two tarot sized card trays height is designed to reach the top of the box. This leaves a carefully measured space for the board and the rulebooks. All the trays can all be used in game to help organise components during the game, as well as speeding up setup and clear away times. This product consists of a flat-pack of 8 Evacore sheets. The trays require assembly, which is quick and fun, using ordinary PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.

The Scythe modular board adds a new level of variability to Scythe, with the map (double-sided board and 4 big double-sided tiles) and the faction locations (home base tiles) changing every time you play. The modular board adds a drafting element to setup, along with a variant for a tighter map at low player counts. This is a completely new board designed specifically for the tiles (which are designed specifically for the new board). Both the board and the tiles are double-sided to maximize variability. When you play Scythe with the modular board, you will not play with any other version of the Scythe board.
